September Blessings

As Summer and August slip away today...
And the plane taking my sister and new brother-in-law slips from view.....

I am drinking a cup of coffee....and contemplating how life can just zip by and we don't even realize it until its really gone...
Molly the puppy does better each day...becoming more and more a part of the family...
She follows directions better and better, and is almost all house broken....we still have to be vigilant.
She gets the fact that Tucker would rather not play puppy games...though she brings him toys to see if maybe he might change his mind....

The grumpy old dog is fine if she just wants to lie near by, but play, well that is not going to happen...
But, she is finding other things to get into...
We had to "fence" in my raised beds...she was getting into the peppers and eating them....
She likes to go where she isn't supposed to go...classic puppy...
But, she will be our comic relief as we journey through a new mine field....
Hubby has a mass in his bladder. It was confirmed as a carcinoma. He is having surgery on Sept 11.
According to the Oncologist, it should be "simple" removal and then "wash" his bladder with chemotherapy to avoid new growths....
All the same....it is scary. The unknown is what the pathology will say about follow up care etc...
So, if you are a praying sort...we could use a bit. No cancer is simple....
In the grand scheme...he was having a MRI for his prostate to rule out cancer there.
The MRI found the small mass in the process.
The Dr. said this doesn't usually happen...they usually find it when it is much farther along...so all in all...early is best.
So, blessings to all of you.
Prayers for the Houston and surrounding area people who have been so badly impacted from Hurricane Harvey.....
May tomorrow, September 1, be the start of a great month and year for everyone....
Nancy
