Landmark Day

Yesterday, was a Landmark Day for me. I hit a big birthday.
I'm not telling which one, but it's one with a zero in it.
I dreaded the day...but my family and friends made it all better....
The day started with the family coming over for breakfast....which they made...bacon, muffins (gluten free!), berries and coffee....and we gathered around the table and enjoyed that....
Little Man ate a large portion of his Mom's breakfast! Boy oh boy can that little boy eat!
Then, we went into the living room to open gifts....boy was I spoiled!
Here is Grampy showing Royce the calendar Mom and Dad gave us at Christmas....
Here is Little Man helping me open gifts....(he actually put that bag on his head!)....
Here is Little Man, having a "second breakfast while I opened gifts!
After Breakfast, one daughter went with her boyfriend to run a couple of errands and Little Man and his Mom went with me to look at a furniture store, HD Buttercup....it was interesting .....just nothing either of us needed or wanted...and besides....Little Man had fallen asleep and Mom had to carry him....
So, she took him home to finish his nap...
And Hubby Hero and I did a few things around the house.
We were waiting for our friend from Palmdale to arrive...
When our friend arrived, we whisked her off to see the "kid's" house and all.....
We did that and enjoyed their hospitality.....that was fun.....
Then, they said we better get going, we had a dinner reservation....
So, we got going....
We parked out front of Pescadou...my favorite French Restaurant( Newport Beach).
When we walked in....."SURPRISE!" Many of our friends and neighbors were there!!
What a lovely surprise!
Oh what fun we had! What great food!!

Little Man had the best time!! What a great baby! He loves parties and food and people!! Man can that boy eat! He is 14 months old and ate mussels, salmon, bread, steak, green beans, french fries, cheerios, and some of everyone's dessert! he got fussy a bit...Dad took him outside for a few minutes, then he was ready to go again...
And oh by the way...that is me looking at the camera...
it was delightful....
If you live in So. Cal....this is a perfectly delicious little French Restaurant....Pescadou.
Just make sure you park carefully...not in the lot a few doors down that says "no overnight parking"...our friend's car was towed!
There is a parking garage that you can use after 6 that is useable....or out front.....
Other than the mar on the car thing....I had the best birthday and as far as landmark birthdays go, it should be a fantastic year......
