Another busy day!!

Our day started with cheering a street over, the Orange County Marathon was running through our streets. We took the dogs for a walk on the usual route, it was lined with Police, and water stations and many people cheering on runners...quite unusual and fun.
Then, we decided, since the streets were closed off, we would walk to the one house close by that was on the Mary Lou Heard's garden tour. We set Kent's phone on the pedometer setting and set off. Round trip it was 2.77 miles, not bad, add that to the trip with the dogs and we had walked almost 3 miles! (although that is far from the 26 miles the marathoners ran)
THEN, we began the yard work that was on the list. We dismantled an old old toy box that had been filled with scrap wood and was an eye sore...the bottom had rotted out it is now a giant raised bed in the vegetable garden...or will be....
My dear sweet Hubby then helped me break up the old umbrellas for stakes in the garden and then he started work to fix the vegetable garden fence. Then he fixed the side yard gate to replace a picket. While he did that, I worked on the vegetable garden moving things around and tying the mulberry back into place. While Hubby put tools away, I used a special caulk on cracks on the patio.
A little before 5, we are most definitely done....for today....
Below are more pix from the garden tour from yesterday....

I like this saying...
Hope you had a great weekend and wish you the best this coming week!
